The Deep, Hull

The Deep is one of the most impressive aquariums in the country and is home to 40 sharks and over 3,500 fish. There are several different zones including a coral reef and the Industrial Seas which looks at the relationship between man and the marine environment. The dramatic building designed by Sir Terry Farrell is located on the Humber Estuary.

Behind the scenes a team of dedicated marine biologists care for all of the animals at The Deep as well as carrying out vital research into the marine environment. Learn more about The Deep’s research and conservation work.
