World Museum Liverpool

World Museum Liverpool combines historic treasures from around the globe with the latest interactive technology. The museum’s collection and exhibitions are diverse, ranging from live insect colonies to Ethnography to Merseybeat. There is an excellent aquarium containing fish from the Amazon to Anglesey. Other exhibition categories include Space and Time, Earth, the Human World and The Natural World. 
World Museum Liverpool has two cafés to choose from. On the ground floor there is the Espresso bar, which serves light refreshments including pastries, cakes, snacks and beverages from 10.30 am to 4.30pm. Highchairs are available in this cafe.

There is also the top floor café, which has great views across the city, open 10.30am to 4.30pm. Here you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold meals, snacks, cakes and beverages. There is a children’s menu and highchairs are available.

Family Information
World Museum Liverpool over looks St Johns Gardens, so there is plenty of space for running around and a picnic. There is also a picnic room on level 4 of the museum. The Learning Base on the ground floor can also be used during busy periods.

A shop near the main entrance sells pocket money gifts specifially for children.

The Ancient Egypt gallery is a permanent display at the museum, showing items from our collections and fun interactives that children of all ages can enjoy. The gallery can be found on the third floor of the museum.

The Clore Natural History Centre and Weston Discovery Centre (with gallery trails to download – see website) provide lots of hands-on activities, ideal for children. Children also particularly enjoy the Bug House and the aquarium, and planetarium and Treasure House Theatre shows.
