Tate Liverpool

tate gallery liverpool.jpg
Tate Liverpool is sited in an old converted warehouse building which is part of the Albert Docks, the former trading berth for the city in the 18th and 19th centuries, now containing many of Liverpool’s major attractions after having been restored in the 1980’s.

Tate Liverpool is an impressive gallery with an extensive and varied collection focusing mainly on 20th century modernism. The work is compelling and diverse, and includes a mixture of figurative and abstract work right up to the present day. There are also regular temporary exhibitions by major international artists, and a restaurant and shop.
